We are seeking a professional and motivated Human Resources Generalist to support all aspects of the HR function. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, possess a Bachelor's degree, and have experience in employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and HR administration. This role will partner with management and employees to foster a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues and HR inquiries.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and workers' compensation claims.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with payroll processing and coordinate with payroll providers as needed.
- Support performance management, employee development, and training initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation.
- Assist with policy implementation and handbook updates.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
- Support disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
- Knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial industry experience.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or related HR certification.
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
